Free Phone Consultation

We offer a free phone consultation in which you can speak with the Speech Language Pathologist about any concerns you are having. Please email us at

speaklearnplayspeech@gmail.com

or call/text us at (337)-804-2905 to set up an available time to discuss. Phone consultations may take between 5-15 minutes.

2.

Screening

We offer brief screenings to identify potential deficits in speech, language, or fluency. Once the screening is completed, the Speech Language Pathologist will review the results with you and provide recommendations. Screenings typically take between 20 - 30 minutes. If the screening indicates that further assessment is needed, the cost of the screening will be applied toward the evaluation.

3.

Evaluation

We conduct a comprehensive evaluation to determine a diagnosis and formulate a treatment plan. Components of an evaluation may include parent interview, informal observation, speech/language conversation sample, background information, and/or standardized assessments. You will receive a completed written evaluation report with recommendations within 2-4 weeks. You will be invited to a meeting to review results and recommendations and to determine the next steps.

4.

Therapy

Based on the results of the evaluation, the Speech Language Pathologist will work with you to develop a customized therapy program to address areas of concern. Therapy is always evidence-based using current

research and driven by the needs and interests of our clients’ families. Therapy may be conducted in person in the Speech Language Pathologists’s home office, via teletherapy, home visits, or daycare visits (depending on location rules/regulations).
